INTERVIEW CHECKLIST
Use these steps to help yourself land the job!
Date...Time...Location! Set a reminder in your calendar and make adjustments to your class or work schedule.
Schedule a mock interview through the CMC.
Decide your outfit. Make sure your clothes are clean and pressed. Look your best!
Bring several printed copies of your resume to give to the interviewer(s).
Make sure you have directions. Arrive at least 15 minutes early!
Relax and be yourself!
Ask for business cards from the interviewer(s).
Send a “Thank You” note within 24 hours of the interview.
COMMON TYPES OF INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
Closed-ended - give simple, informational answers.
Open-ended - require thought and may reveal your attitude or opinions.
Hypothetical - allow you to resolve/react to an imaginary situation.
Outside-the-box - allow you to show your ability to problem solve and be creative.
